what makes you think the gov't has used up all the zip codes. There are so many more combinations of numbers the could add a dozen more states and still have numbers.

Um... are they planning on invading Canada sometime soon? I don't see how the US could gain another state. Unless a big state split into two. I don't see how this is an issue.

Who knows, but I highly doubt that we will gain another state, since international laws prohibit going to war for the sake of gaining land.

The USA would consider adding a letter to the numbers, I live in Canada and ours have numbers & letters... of course ours are called postal codes
