OK, maybe I need to elaborate....
What is a branch that gives a wide range of job choices, jobs that are in high demand now, even if you are not an immigrant from India or China, and are 42 years old.

Survey Technician. Lots of outdoors work with no one looking over your shoulder all day long.
And they're in short supply in some areas so finding employment shouldn't be too hard.
