Im just wondering if it would mess with the pick ups and create an undesireable sound

It is absolutely possible. The magnetic field of your pickups will not extend beyond the strings. If anything, you may get more shielding from outside interference.

I don't know man. You might get shocked if its a strat or a tele because of the way the electronics touch the pickguard. Stick to plastic.

Yeah, it would, but you can put a metal overlay on top of the existing pickguard.

Careful, tho, in certain feedback conditions you could possibly get a heck of a shock. Like, fatal, maybe,.

No, the pickguard material has no influence on the pickups but it may give you more highs and additional sustain. There is nothing you need to do electronically to make this change.

Yeah , you can use metal pickgaurds, i've seen em' but not sure who makes them , so they gotta be safe...
