I'm the exact same way! I've also heard of seasonal effective disorder, but I don't know if I put a lot of stock in it.
Anyway, I prefer it around 60 degrees, totally overcasting and misting. LOVE it.
People think I'm odd.

nicely i'm a teenager in London, and that i type of consider you. that's a grey, depressing city ( or as I call it, shitty xD ) countless the time. it would want to be somewhat depressing, extraordinarily once you should vacation like I do to varsity and reduce back each day on the practice or tube. yet, there is honestly lots to do in London. And as for it being intense priced: London is not basically massive Ben, Trafalgar sq. and Oxford street. better London is made out of a huge component to Surrey and Kent and really Hertfordshire too. And there are countless shops there that are literally not intense priced. you purely ought to entice close the position to flow and what to do x]

This sounds familiar, I have this sort of thing in the morning, I prefer it to be dark and I hate it when the sun comes through my blinds, making it impossible to get back to sleep.
It's exactly as you quote, its draining, although I think that this happens to alot of people in the mornings, not wanting to get up, wanting to go back to sleep but finding it strenuous. The deviant thing is that I want it to be dark when I am alone but I like it to be sunny when I'm with other people.
But anyway, not answering your question, (I'm sorry, I got carried away), I think that all it is is that you prefer darkness and because your happier when it is dark, your more energized.
Although, if this is, by any chance, causing you problems, then perhaps it would be wise to see someone about it, maybe they could help.

You may have a form of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). Even though most people think of SAD being a winter issue (lack of sun and cold temperatures), some people show signs of the disease when there is more sunlight and/or the temperature is higher. If your symptoms are causing you a lot of problems, definitely go see a psychiatrist or other mental health professional.
