Check out creative.com they have some pretty good ones. About a year ago i bought a 20gb Zen Touch for $200... only had a 2-color screen but hey it's music... dont' need a color screen to listen to music really. It's not even worth it to buy a 1 or 2 gb player becuase if you have a large music collection, you'll find yourself constantly shuffling tracks between your player and computer...which gets old really quick. I have over 600 songs on mine and i still have 12gb left on it... also it doubles as data storage... if you have misc. data files taking up space on your computer, you can store them on there as well to access later... Only problem is if you are wanting to transfer music between different computers... you have to install the software that comes with it on each computer so it will recognize it properly when plugged in. Also, it is a bit heavy for an mp3 player, but only becuase it is a hard drive player, not flash memory.... flash is good if you are active with your player(jogging, exercising, etc.) becuase there are no moving parts. But if you plan on having it sit in your console of your car while driving, it works great. As for the adapter, it doesn't come with one, but you can but a decent fm transmitter adapter for $20-30 which either runs on batteries or plugs into a cig adapter. They plug into your headphone jack on the player and transmits the signal to a radio frequency on your radio(some have more frequency settings than others, those are usually the more expensive ones.) One last thing is to make sure it will play the audio formats you want. Alot of mp3 players use windows "playsforsure" formats, like mp3, wav, wma...just to name a few...If you use WindowsXP and not MacOS, you want to make sure it supports that. Well I hope this info, as much as it may be, is helpful to you... i spent about a month looking around before i made my final decision and was very satisfied with my choice. Good luck!
