so my friend who was my best friend knows this guy that i like. she knows that i wanna go with him to winter ball but that i dont know how to ask him. i guess she was getting fed up with me and decided to go on this big rant about how i cant do anything for myself. is it my fault that im kinda scred to ask him? and that she has more gut than i do?

you're scared and a little afraid of being turned down, maybe she is jealous along the way too.
Treat the whole thing like it is an everyday event, casual, no biggie and just mention it to him that you'd like him to go with you.
Try to downplay it don't be nervous but charming.
You'll win his affections and blow her away with your grace.

May be you the kind of person that talks all day long about the things you can't do, and eventually got her all fed up. I would too! if you like this guy so much maybe you should try to socialize more with him and test your waters, obviously you don't want to throw yourself out there and end up making a fool out of yourself.

OK, well, it's not your fault, but i can see where both of you are coming from. You were scared and shy, so she took the opportunity to put you own, which is wrong, but she was probably annoyed. But you were just expressing yourself, so now your all confused, right? I think that you should ask the guy, you never know, he may like you to. Listen, it's OK to be shy, but don't hesitate. Life is about taking risks, and making mistakes and learning from them. Just go for it. and the worse he can say is no thanks, so you got nothing to loose. Just be yourself. Good luck

What a biatch.Real friends dont treat you that way.But,,really,,its never a good idea to get friends involved when trying to get to know a guy.It just messes things up.

Tell her to shut the hell up, and get off her high horse. Just because she is not as shy as you does not give her any right, to go off and be a ***** like that... tell her to back off, and get over her self...and as for the guy you like, write him a little note asking him....
