Just got hired for a pretty good paying PT job merchandising. However was forewarned that one of the store managers was very very difficult to get along w/that she's always "miserable, unhappy, and has the personality of an angry gorilla".
:o(
I am looking forward the job, but NOT working w/someone so mean!!
Do you have experiences like this?!
How should one cope?
(I have to take this job--nothing else is available locally around here yet)
HELP!!
(thanks :-)

She's probably overworked and stressed out. Don't fret. The first time you meet her, just introduce yourself as a new kid in the block. Ask her what her expectations are and go from there. Stay away from her as much as you can if you don't want to deal with her. Just be yourself - and don't talk negative things about her behind her back; it will come back to bite you.

Remember - it's only a part-time job and you're not going to be there forever. Good luck!

Mine replaced into the touch. as quickly as I first joined i did no longer like making touch with people, no longer even a hand shake or a pat on the back. yet my instructor worked with me and that i particularly needed to enhance so I put in a great attempt and now i'm advantageous with having a go at grappling. i think of as a beginner you think of all of that is going to be complicated, when you consider which you have not at all completed it previously. yet once you destroy it down and shop engaged on it you get extra perfect.

Kill her with kindness. Always smile at her even if she gets grouchy with you. Give her a genuine compliment every once in a while. Above all, don't let her intimidate you. She'll probably test you at first but then will give up if she doesn't get a negative response from you.

As a Christian I am exhorted by James Chapter 1, begining at Verse 2 to: “My brothers and sisters, a when you have many kinds of troubles, you should be full of joy, 3 because you know that these troubles test your faith, and this will give you patience. 4 Let your patience show itself perfectly in what you do. Then you will be perfect and complete and will have everything you need.”

The mighty Peter, the one who walked on water with Jesus, tells us at 1 Peter Chapter 2 beginning at Verse 18 to: “Slaves, yield to the authority of your masters with all respect, not only those who are good and kind, but also those who are dishonest. 19 A person might have to suffer even when it is unfair, but if he thinks of God and stands the pain, God is pleased. 20 If you are beaten for doing wrong, there is no reason to praise you for being patient in your punishment. But if you suffer for doing good, and you are patient, then God is pleased. 21 This is what you were called to do, because Christ suffered for you and gave you an example to follow. So you should do as he did. ”

Paul tells us at Romans Chapter 5, beginning with Verse 1: “ Since we have been made right with God by our faith, we have peace with God. This happened through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 who has brought us into that blessing of God’s grace that we now enjoy. And we are happy because of the hope we have of sharing God’s glory. 3 We also have joy with our troubles, because we know that these troubles produce patience. 4 And patience produces character, and character produces hope. 5 And this hope will never disappoint us, because God has poured out his love to fill our hearts. He gave us his love through the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to us.

God encourages you to be of good cheer whatever circumstance you find yourself in, especially if no other job is available. God’s blessing on you and your job. In Jesus’ name. Amen Sincerely, Rick
