I don't know. Hip-hop generally just killed R&B. Even the R&B singers wanna be rappers, so it's just kind of a lame genre on the mainstream side of things, however, there are a lot of great singers that don't get on the radio, because they don't want to go for the R&B/Rap combo that seems to be so popular today, and actually want to make genuine soul music.

As far as controversy, I just don't think that that many people even care about R&B outside of R. Kelly(who's kinda controversial, I guess) & Mary J. Blige.

i'd say I consider numbers 4 and 5 a million) i really do not recognize adequate about this subject matter to agree or disagree. 2) If through "the music market," you propose significant list labels, sure. The opt to make funds, not promote artists. 3) basically because the employer creates them does not propose that folk might want to hearken to them. 4 and 5 are genuinely linked. Even i'm to blame of huge form 5. i imagine that rap sucks, yet it truly is because what I hear is 50 Cent and Souljah Boy. If it truly is all it truly is obtainable so a procedures as rap is going, then yeah, it sucks. i'm particular there is more desirable stuff obtainable, yet i'm basically not digging for it. really, there's a good quantity of stuff obtainable, yet you basically might want to draw close the position to get it. the genuine problem is human beings do not seem previous the secure foodstuff routine of crap that comes from the numerous labels and radio stations.
