this is just a hypathetical question. say you were married and had young children and you accidentally got pregnant. say you had a condition that would put youa t risk to bleed to death during the delivery...at the least you would need a bladder transplant or surgery on your bladder directly after the delivery. either way, the delivery would be very messy for you and maybe the baby! say the pregnancy would put you on bedrest for 9 months and you would't be able to put your child on the bus in the morning or take care of your baby...what would you do. now don't get mad and say i'm some irrisponsible mom. i was sitting here thinking "what if". no i am not pregnant and yes my husband plans on getting a vasectomy as soon as he can get the appointment. I'm just sitting here thinking "what if". We had a recent issue of a condom breaking and now i can feel funny things going on inside my uterus. so what would you do?

abortion is not for me, however i have always said if my life were at risk i would abort, i couldn't face leaving the children i have without a mum, it wouldn't be an easy decision but id see no other option.

Sad to say but my late wife and I actually went thru this exact thing after the birth of out second child. She developed heart trouble. The problem was found when she went for a pregnancy test, and she was told she couldn't survive another birth. After a lot of talk and soul searching we decided on an abortion. She never was the same after that. She died 3 years later.

Personally, I consider protection to be birth control AND condoms used together, in case one fails, you always have a backup. Unless there is a definite death risk for the mother (which will almost alway kill the baby as well), I think abortion is wrong.

I am against abortion in most cases. BUT if I had young children, and my life and the baby's life was at risk.. I wouldn't want to risk my life. My other kids and husband would need me. So I would probably abort.

if it were to be that much of a risk Id honestly say an abortion would be the best option. A baby is a wonderful thing but why deny it a mother, if you were to die all of your children would suffer.
