Yes they can. I just moved and did the movers deal they advertise for free. I left my old DirecTV dish at the old house and thye connected TWO new dishes, TWO switches, and run all the cabling FREE. I have 5 DirecTV Tivos (Upgraded and Networked) along with two other Regualr DirecTV receivers. For a total of 14 lines connected so if I move a TV in some of the rooms I have the caoxial cable already on the wall. They installed TWO 8 output switches with 8 Input lines from the DirecTV dishes. Hope it works as good for you.

You'll have to invest in a commercial grade switch which is available at a low-voltage contractor supply house. I've personally seen 16 port switches so I'm sure they make larger than that.

I know for sure they can cover 4. I don't see why they wouldn't allow you to have 5. I mean after all they do get another 15 dollars a month for it.

Get a switch. radio shack has them. Also ebay has them also.
They come in even number 4,8 16.
With just 5 reciever's you can get by witha passive modle.(no amp inside). They start at about 30 bucks.

I have 5 and with no problems. It is an extra 4.99 per month per additional reciever, other than main one, however.
