Heterogeneous are cloudy. They may settle out if you leave the solution sit for a while. milk, paint, salad dressing

Homogeneous systems are systems of one phase, like liquids that can be mixture to together, or gasses, or finely powder solids.
Heterogeneous systems invole 2 phases, like a solid catylest and a gas, or a liquid and a solid/gas etc, they can also be 2 liquids that do not mix together.
