I have spent the last 3 days straight trying to locate any stores or on-line companies that sell children's dress or skirt suits suitable for a beauty pageant interview. The only store I could find, Storybook Heirlooms was sold out of the skirt sets, and no one on Ebay had my daughter's size. She is a children's size 10. I would be willing to consider purchasing Misses clothing if anyone knows what a child's size 10 translates to in Misses of Junior's clothing. All suggestions are more than welcome and thank you for helping a frustrated Pageant MOM.

I had to act as a moderator in a mock "Session of the Senate" in 8th grade. I had to wear a suit, so my mother and I went to the mall and walked in every store we could find.
Needless to say, we were amazed when we walked into JC Penny's and found an entire section devoted to young girl's suits. And they were incredibly cute. Black with green trimmings, white with pink pinstripes and classy bow-pinched fabric, traditional black and white, and a whole lot more. We had trouble deciding!
I think the brand was "My Michelle" or something to that nature, so you might want to look that up on the internet if a JC Penny's near you is no longer carrying them.

If you dont have any experience and you're going for NAM, LOOOOL GOOD LUCK. These girls have been at it for years. I suggest you start off small instead of looking like a fool on stage and trip and make teeny mistakes that will keep you from winning. Anyway, to get an interview suit, don't look online. Go into JCPenney and buy one from there or from New York & Company or Charlotte Russe.

Well do the rules state that it has to be a suit?
My daughter was in a state level pageant last year, she will be attending again this year, the rules stated that the interview outfit could be a suit or Sunday's best. With her only being 6, we went with Sunday's best.

Well this is what i do know for sure. a size 12 (girls at department store JCPenny, Macy, Bergeners, Sears) is a 0 at Gap. Gap sizing is pretty close to designer clothing in pageant wear. 0 or 00 . I'm a 26 hip in jeans and i wear 2 in Banu Paris Interview suits. My sister is a 26 chest and i think she bought a 0 and had it taken in.
***** If you ever have it take in in the chest it must be taken i the in the sleeves! it will look funny the jugdes know what to look for.

I really like long dresses. My bf enjoys the short ones. So my closet is loaded w/ 1/2 and 1/2.
