Why does it feel like Hannah Montana is a little similar to the previous shows that use to come on like Lizzie McGuire? Do you think the same thing is for other current new shows that are out?

I think they're lacking in creative direction and have been for about 4 years.

The movie industry in general has been doing that for a while. They've taken the same movie with the same plot, same storyline, same antagonist, same basic character studies, and then just swapped some actors around, and slapped a new title on it. Examples: Alpha dog is nothing but the third time they've released 'four brothers' same everything, the second time was waist deep, same everything, slightly tweeked setting.
Dream Girls is re-hashed Honey, which was re-hashed and badly timed release for money can't buy me love. Of course on a larger scale Dream Girls is also Stomp the Yard, that annoying hip-hop slash ballroom dancing crap flick with Antonio Banderras, Drum Line, and a few whose name I can't recall right now. Disney isn't above doing it, it's just that the majority of the people paying attention to Disney, aren't all too tentative to the fact that it's the fifth time they've made the same sh*t, it's usually, "ohh he/she looks flashy and rebellious but he/she is funny! Tee-hee! I like Lizzy McGuire" so they can usually get away with it.

Lizzie McGuire and Hannah Montana are sooooo different!! Hannah/Miley is a superstar and Lizzie is a regular girl. and everyone has hot person or enemy or best friend in their life so why cant disney put that in their shows?

They do the same thing in the parks: take away old rides, and make the new ones are that are pretty much the same (like Stitch ride).

I think they totally lost Walt Disney's idea of innovention, but just stuck with preserving the past?

Ever since I was 8 to 10 years of age I ditched Disney and went on to Anime and Manga... Too many similar shows and movies are from Disney. It's so boring and uncreative to see similar work on Cartoon Network and Teletoon. Anime is so much better, and there is not really "happy endings" ... it's more thought provoking and you find deeper meanings. Disney conveys "right" and "wrong" whereas Anime and Manga it's up to you and your path.

I think Disney still hs plenty of creativity, although I'm sure it is difficult to keep coming up with new versions of fairy princesses.
More likely it is a matter of being able to milk the same old cow in the barn. If she still gives milk, then you milk her. There is more profit in reissue then in new production. Its all about the bottom line.

They recycle previous shows because they SELL!

Disney uses lots of child actors so the kids outgrow their roles before the audience gets tired of seeing it. Also the kids who watched the old series outgrow the shows and new kids come along to take their place who haven't seen it before.

It's all about the $$$$$!!!! And if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

In reality lets broaden it to all sitcoms in general. All have the same basic set up all have a weird friend or sister or neighbor all have a "hot" bf or friend or classmate. I mean aside from comedy shows like mad tv most are just recycled mindless crap that is bealched upon society and sadly we still eat it up

Yea. My best friend's sis said it's pretty much the same thing over and over. have you noticed all the sporty movies on Disney are about one kid who has to choose between two competitions? LOLS They need some new material. I think they've ost a lot of fans.

yeah i do feel the same way about it. even the movies, there doesn't seem to be any good ones lately.

and i know this isn't a disney movie, but are people really out of ideas to be making a movie about toilets and stuff?! (flushed away) regardless of how 'good' people say it is/was.... i think it's a pretty stupid idea.

no... i think it's ridiculous!

No I think they're trying to win the latest generations demographics...and they recycle because a new 'crop' of hopefuls comes along needing jobs, they cost less money than the older 'used' kids..
