Andrew Jackson was president during the revolution (Jackson president from 1829 to 1837 and Texas revolution took place in 1836), but Polk brought it into the union (Polk was president 1845-1849 and Texas was annexed in 1845).

The Texas revolution took place in 1835 -36. Texas was not a state at that point. Andrew Jackson was the US President in 1835.
Texas became a state in 1845 when Jackson was President.
Hope that helps.
