hey there is a simple formula for this.

it is called y=mx+b where m is a slope of the line. now when any kind of formula is given to you try to brong it in this form. in this case you can do like this. bring the "y" to other side so it becomes positive. therefor y-7=4/5x now bring -7 to other side. it comes to y=4/5x+7. now you can see that it is in a form of y=mx+b now compare this equation to y=4/5x+7. m= 4/5 so the slope of the line is 4/5.

first you get the y by itself

4/5x-y=-7 subtract the 4/5x to get it to the other side of the equation

(-y=-4/5x-7)/-1 divide the whole equation by -1 to make y positive

y=4/5x+7

y=mx+b m=the slope
slope is 4/5
