My new girlfriend slaps me on my forehead for no reason and when I ask her why, she says “why not”! Is this some kind of new MTV fad that I’m not aware of?

Any behaviour that offends you is inappropriate. If you don't like this ask once for her to stop and if she keeps it up have her arrested. It is what I would do to a guy :)

I'm sorry to hear that!!! But you should have a long talk whit her, and ask her to stop, because MTV or NOT, is disrespectful, and a form of physical abuse!!!
It is the same as a person "spanking" another!!! If you don't make her stop, and she thinks it's funny, you have a problem.
Picture yourself being in a gathering with family and friends, and just out of the blue, she slaps you on your forehead!!!
It is going to be a "HUGE STATEMENT", for her in front of people; as for you it will be very embarrassing!!! Tell her that if she loves you she should stop, making you feel embarrassed, eventually will become a serious problem in your relationship!!!
Whether she slaps you on your forehead, cheeks, arms, buttocks or any part of your body; is unacceptable and very disrespectful!!!
She would NOT like for you to do the same to her, all the time
unexpectedly,in private or in public!!! So she should stop at once!!! If she doesn't please find yourself another girlfriend who will show you love by respecting every aspect of yourself!!
Including your forehead!!!
She got some nerves!!! Making you look like a total fool!!!
MAKE HER STOP!!! She does NOT take you seriously if she doesn't.

You are correct. Unfortunately boy and girl relationship now centering aroudn MTV fad, but not out of emotional bondage. Matured personality and perfect understanding are more needed then some provocative outbursts.
