Henry IV of France I think, who was also King of Navarre... he was raised by his mother as a Protestant and was compelled to change his religion to Roman Catholic in order to ascend to the throne of France. Most of his early experiences in Paris was terrifying including the infamous "St. Bartholomew;s Day Massacre" where thousands of Huegenots were massacred while they attended his wedding to the French princess.
