I don't like it, it sounds suspiciously like the old one, except with an additional 20,000 troops. He is an official moron; doing the same thing but expecting different results.

If Muktada Al Sadr even has a little intelligence he will run to Iran after listening to the GW speech today. If he sticks around then I think both Sadr and Nouri will be playing House with 72 virgins each pretty soon. This is what I see out of today plan put forward by Mr.President.

I think he is right to send in more troops, right or wrong he has to see this through now to try and secure that country, yes 3000 US troops killed is bad, but what did the American public think was going to happen, I didn't hear too many voices of dissent back in 2003, if he leaves the situation as it is then I think you will actually lose more men due to the inability of having more control as you would with extra troops, as I said whether he is right or wrong on Iraq he now has the obligation to get this under control and fast, or America could face another humiliating pull out like Vietnam.

What does Bush know that we don't that he wants to send in 21,000 more lives to be at deadly risk?
I am concerned that he is not being forthright with what is really on his agenda. When is enough enough? What is victory in Iraq now? We killed Saddam and his sons. What else has to happen before we can leave? Iraq has a government now. Iraq has a military now, too.
I think we're being lied to big time. If this keeps up, it'll be Cindy Shehan for President 2008 and people will vote for her, too.

He admits he made an error. That is a 180 degree turn around for his administration. Good for him.
He said he should have sent more troops sooner.
I don't have much good to say about his new plan. I'm sure Bush supporters are folksy enough to know what it means to close the barn door after the cows are already out.

Sounds like the same old plan to me.....only with different faces & 20000 more potential dead American soldiers.
A note to koepnick0.......Don't be so gullible, Bush doesn't pay for gas, or anything else...the president has all his expenses paid... by us!

Terrible. He's in it for the oil and has no plans to leave. Why can't the Iraqi government stand on its own two feet. We haven't tried to get them to make peace with each other (peace agreement) because Bush doesn't want us to leave.
OIL OIL OIL OIL OIL OIL ....did I say oil ?
Oh, and by the way , he and his band of thieves are making a ton of money waging war and supplying the army with gasoline and jet fuel. Guess who is paying ... US !

He's playing a shell game with soldiers lives. He better be on his knees praying that it works or else his failure as a President will be cemented, as if its not already.

It won't matter. Our government is so divided that, instead of working together for a compromise, both sides are so set in their ways that they'd rather argue and not go anywhere. So we'll spend weeks debating, instead of acting, and more troops will die because of it. Say what you will about the war, but we need unification in our government for anything to work.
As for the oil remarks... those are foolish too. If we're in this for the oil, then explain why gas prices continue to rise. Bush's gas isn't any cheaper than any other american's.

I think he's in denial about his approval rating and is under the delusion that sending more troops to Iraq will make it better.
GO BUSH!
