I'm assuming from your question that you've already been approved for a visit. If not, then you'll need to have the inmate fill out paperwork to get you on the approved visitation list.
If you HAVE been approved and just need some guidance for the 1st time, Go to: www.dc.state.fl.us/oth/inmates/
Then click on "Visitation". It will provide you with answers on the rules of visiting an inmate, how to qualify for a visit, and more. You may also want to ask the inmate if there are any special rules for that particular institution. You can't bring much in with you, but it really depends on the guard that brings you in. You will be searched before entering the facility. It's a patdown in a private room by a guard that's the same gender as you and often they will make you take off your shoes (they may look at your shoes to be sure you aren't hiding something there and they may look at the bottom of your feet).
In general you can usually bring in: your drivers license (you must have this to get in), your glasses, a small amount of money (usually in $1 and $5 bills), your keys (but usually only 1 or 2 of them, not a huge key ring filled with keys), and an unopened pack of cigarettes and a lighter. Usually nothing else allowed, like photos, gum, books, etc.
If you can, buy a clear plastic small makeup bag to put your belongings in- you'll be able to carry that in with you. Some facilities actually write down every piece of jewelry that you wear into the facility and then they double-check that you have them all when you leave (that's not a common practice, just depends on the facility).
Ask your friend/relative what time you should arrive. USUALLY there's a longer wait first thing in the morning. Sometimes it's beneficial to arrive an hour after the start time, but every place is different.
As far as clothing, don't wear anything that reveals your shoulders, cleavage, or too much leg. You may want to look sexy for your guy, but if they think you look too sexy you won't be allowed in- or you may be forced to wear an ugly men's shirt over your clothing- then you REALLY won't look sexy!
Don't be nervous. Just read the rules and be courteous to the guards and you'll be fine. Your friend/relative will be so glad you made the effort to come and visit!

You have filed the application? Here how that work;
Visitor applications will no longer be distributed at reception centers, but will now be given to inmates once they reach their permanent location. Inmates are responsible for sending visitor applications to those family and friends they wish to be considered for placement on their visiting list. The completed visitor applications are to be sent to the Classification Department at the institution where the inmate is assigned.
The last link is a PDF File (Acrobat Reader needed) It is 111 pages of everything, so, look through the Contents for Visitation Rules.
It Chapter 33-601.712-.732 I think, that what it say on the second link.
