Hi you need a glow plug heater, glow fuel, an electric starter helps makes it easier, at the hobby shop they have a beginners kit made by Hobbieco. Ask the guy, flue the plane, check the needle valve close all the way not real tight just close.Open 3 1/2 turns put a Little fuel in the carb with it about 1/4 to 1/2 way open leave it there have someone hold the plane or tie the tail so it will not fly on your face. Hook up the glow heater 1/2 volt (D size Batt) if you do not have an electric starter (flip the prop CCW. PUT A GLOVE ON) Keep flipping till it starts. You my first take out the glow plug and see if it is good hook it up it will glow if it is good. Once started open the carb all the way with the radio. Adjust the needle for your rpm. Point the nose of the plane up in the air motor should run steady if not keep adjusting the needle open or close little at a time repeat till you are happy. Ask it the hobby shop about a flying site near you. The people there will be happy to help, Ask the guy at the store about the AMA

Fly safe

Take it to a hobby shop and have them make sure that it is still able to operate. Basically, you need fuel in the tank for it, a battery to heat the glow plug, and a means to spin the propeller. The hobby shop staff can tell you all about what you need, and will gladly show you how it is done.
A good set of ear plugs would be a good idea for you to have in your ears since those engines are very loud.
