American people are our mates but the American government is nobodys mate. i think you need to do some research and find out just how corrupt the American government is . you can say there is more democracy in Iran than there is in the USA . have you ever seen the images in Vietnam of kids running around with there skins hanging off after being bombed ? have you heard how much heroin is on our streets after the USA invaded Afghanistan? do you know how many weapons have been sold by the Americans to crazy dictators? sometimes when a mate is geting out of hand and harming people then you have to tell them to stop and if they dont listen then you should not bother with that mate no more.

You've gotta love Hugo Chavez.
He's had the guts to stand up to the US and say NO. The people are generally happy with the way things are going over there.
I think if all of latin america could take some lessons from him the US would soon find itself in a much humbler position as they would no longer have a lot less third world countries to exploit and leach from.

Can't people openly and legitimately criticize the failed policies of an arrogant, incompetent U.S. government and the 79% of Americans who thought Bush was so great 4 years ago, without being called "Gits"? When America fails to follow it's own moral compass, where does the world turn? In 2003, France and Germany because they thumbed their noses at the Bush Administration and Tony Blair did not.

I know, I have noticed this and asked myself the same question.
USA and UK are very close nations, bound in history, language, politics etc..and now that George's plans have not worked out, everyone is pointing their finger at him and the US. Our president, Tony Blair, is not in a better position either in the UK and he is constantly under fire!
We have to remain united in solidarity(dual commitment), unless our goals have suddenly changed?.

it amazes me why so many want to turn us against the whole country, I think it might be something to do with pro europeans who want britain kept as slaves, should we be invited to join the north american alliance not sure what that is yet, but i am begining to feel left out of something.
