For a 4-year college more specifically. I need to ask my dad for some money for some books, but he needs and answer by tommorrow. I cant buy the books until next wednesday. Whats a rough estimate for books for 4 classes. Its 3 business courses and one math course if that helps.

I'd plan on $400-500 just to be safe. It's a bit high & if there' any money left over, you can return it to him.

I wish I could give you a specific answer, but I can tell you that you need to get a lot of money because, characteristically, college bookstores charge A LOT OF MONEY for their books and supplies. I never majored in business and so I don't know how many books or workbooks they use, but I'd say an average of $100.00 per course is a good guideline to go by. It may be more though, so . . .. The later you buy them the more they cost. Yours might run you up to 400 bucks. You might want to start looking on sights like campusbooks.com or half.com to find the discounts ASAP so you know where to go. Campus books lets you compare prices across hundreds of sites (including half.com y the way) and it should drop the price. If you can avoid it stay away form the bookstore at all costs!

i´d guess an average of $100/per book, though math books tend to be quite expensive. Can´t you check the price out online? does your school have a bookstore in the building?

Definitely aim for around $400-$500 especially if one is a math book. My mathbook was almost $150.

u gotta do some research for how many books u need but my school is giving "scholars" about $500 canadian for books for one semester ......the cost varies from each faculty ...arts faculty in my school needed to buy the most books as oppose to ppl in the science faculty .....i am not sure about american university but it should not be too far off .........good luck

I just bought 4 books as well and it was $300.94!!! What a rip-off!!!!!!!!!!!!!
