What sets the Indian apart typically from rest of the global citizen: I would say from my heart is that what a unique beautifully made creature amongst all other races that God had created, awesome and perfectly made in his own image that I as a non Indian would adore, but then I can also say the same for the other non Indians as well. If anything I cannot stand, as you say about this! is the fact the Indian tolerate so much as non other.

Indians tend to smile or laugh a lot, even if the topic is a bit on the serious side. Maybe it's a bit of immaturity in handling situations.

Indians tend to apologise immediately, even if the incident is not entirely their fault. Maybe this is due to the fact that we would like to avoid a tense situation. This usually is the reason we are thought of as timid people.

The one thing I hate about us Indians, is that we tend to favour a white person over a brown, even in our own country. Not a racist myself, but it does hurt to see a fellow Indian treat a tourist better than a local.

I think what sets apart an Indian is his/her emotional approach to life. We are more spontaneous than most other people.
