All season, I have heard the Detective Olivia Benson will have something life changing happen to her that will make her need her partner more than ever. The suspense is killing me, so I need to know. Does anyone know what this life changing event will be?

All I know is that Law & Order SVU is my FAVORITE show and OLIVIA is my FAVORITE character! I also really admire Mariska in real life also. I think she is beautiful and am very happy for her since she just had a new baby.
I cannot wait to see this story line, but I think I also heard that it was going to be a sibling that shows up. I would love to see maybe something like she trys to find her dad, but then her dad comes after her or something and Elliot has to try to help her... I love when either one of them has to save each other because those episodes show how much they care for each other the most I think.
I know some people want to see them end up together, but I kind of like the relationship they have now and I think them going out might ruin that.
I kind of wished that Elliot and his wife would get back together, but I guess that is not going to happen after what happened last week and all

She probably wants to find her father(or maybe he wants to reconnect with her). Since Olivia doesn't have any family, she will probably need someone else for support. And the only other person that knows her that well is Stabler. Lets just hope that it will make them closer then they already are. You can tell that they both need each other in different ways.
(BTW in season 2 she did find her father but it was in the deleated scenes, so unless you bought the DVDs you didnt know that.)

From what a gather a sibling shows up (brother, sister... I don't know) and it starts her on a quest to find her father...
