There is a missing writer and this man is sent to look for him. He goes to this town that no one has heard of where this person is supposed to be, and the he can't get out of the town. People are dying, He's hallucinating, and then he goes insane....
This is one of my favorite scary movies.

There is a person of significance riding a bike throughout the movie....and the man realizes that he is living the writers novel as it is being written.... if you've seen this movie THAT is a dead give away...

It's not the shining or Salem's Lot, do you remember anything else about the movie
Everyone is already dead when they get to the hotel in the shining... there is no missing author the guy comes to babysit the hotel for the winter months, not search for a writer
