..when girls (usually teens) pucker out their lips when they pose for photos? I have noticed a considerable large amount do it..is it 'in' to look like a fish or what?

I don't know why...its just a fad thing, I guess.
Rock stars started the whole "pouty" look...and its now a type of plastic surgery. in fact, that's the only part of the movie "First Wives Club" that I remember, was that Goldie Hawn, one of the women that was trying to look so much younger, kept getting her lips (I don't know, augmented? I forget the word for it, someone help me out, here!! lol) done so many times that eventually she just looked ridiculously funny. Its just a thing to do. If kids think something will make them look better, regardless if in 10 years they'll look like freaks, they'll do it. Trust me, I'm mature, but I'm still only 19.
Ie. Perms, bell-bottoms, belly tops, pink hair...see-thru white pants with red thong... (yes, ewww) and the list goes on.

Haha, yes. It does look ridiculous...also another thing that bothers me is when they pose with a hand in front of their mouths and a surprised look. I don't understand what is the appeal of all these theatric caricatures, but it surely shows their maturity level.

Yes, it is silly, but we must realise that they are doing it to make their cheeks appear more sunken and to accentuate their jaw lines.
They are trying to look skinnier.
So, when the demand for "skinny" goes away, we will see the bright, shiny, toothy grin once again. But don't hold your breath!

They watch too much TV!!!... funny I have very full lips and was teased about them as a kid... NOW LOOK!!!!!!!... you have to make yourself look like a fish to get these!!!..lol

its a natural reaction when a girl is posing for a camera they make a kissy face, most are just messing around not doing it to be "sexy" just to pose for the camera
