how can i find prom dresses that have steel boning in them? Does anyone even make steel boning prom dresses?

Yes, they do make formal dresses with metal stays in them, but most are now made with plastic instead.
When you do a search, try "corset" or "stays" in your terms, if "boning" doesn't find you anything.
Or try posting more details, or a second question, with exactly what kind of dress you want, (skirt, color, straps or strapless, etc...) and see if anyone on here can help you find your dream dress.

They don't make steel boning however, there are a lot of dresses with boning. They use a more flexible, more comfortable boning now. Check out this dress...
