I had a very good friend (best friend) for over 6 years...and when we moved apart, I still saw him but rarely..and you could tell we were each doing different things. It was kinda sad but the past 2 years I haven't heard, seen, or talked to him :-(. Anyone have a similar experience?

Actually yes!!

i lost contac with the two best friends i had in the world (i was the first in our group to get married & have kids). One I lost contact with before I was even married because she moved, the other I lost contact with after my second child.

Luckily, i regained contact with both of them AFTER i got divorced (hmmm....guess they didnt like my ex either lol). So after 14 years and 10 years of no contact we contact each other at the very least weekly. Both of them are married - one with 2 kids, the other with none, but we all regret losing contact with each other.

Yeah, i had a really good friend in 4th grade but she moved when her step-dad got fired from his job... she gave me her phone # but eventually she moved again and when i tried calling her like a year after her phone was disconnected... i even tried again when one of our best friends died :(

all the time, growing up my parents were in the military. i would make really great friends and then i'd leave. i even moved during high school. i would always call them alot but eventually we'd just stop talking.it's not fun.

YES, HAVE 2 NOW THAT I SHOULD BE TRYING TO SEE BUT HAVEN'T BUT THEY HAVEN'T TRIED EITHER. THINK IT'S JUST A LIFE THING. OUR FRIENDS CHANGE AS OUR LIFE'S DO.
