Bleach kills 99.9% of bacteria. 3/4 cup of bleach to a gallon of water, or 1 tablespoon of bleach to one quart of water is the proper solution. Bleach mixture loses its strength with exposure to sunlight, air, and heat. Make a solution daily. Regular household bleach is approx. 95% water and 5.25% sodium hypochlorite.

DO NOT mix bleach with anything but water.
DO NOT mix bleach with ammonia, it is deadly.

Note: cryptosporidia is only killed by ammonia or hydrogen peroxide.

Bleach will kill any bacteria or virus known to man. Even a mixture of 1 part bleach to 10 parts water is effective.
