No special events for MLK day...but here are some places you can check out!

In Montreal we speek mostly french and alot english...the city bars and clubs are also ''kinda'' divided like that too...but don't worry if you go in a place where you find mostly francophones you won't be out of place...so not worries about that, but still I will indicate where it is more anglophones and where it is more francophone...
The major streets where you can find nice bars and clubs are:
CRESCENT St. (Downtown) - Very anglo area as it is close to 2 english Universities, the part North of Ste-Catherine (a main street going from east to west) is where you find bars and clubs, the lower part you can find pubs. Look for : FunkyTown ,Newtown , Thursday's, Electric Avenue (80's music), London Pub, Sir Winston Churchill, Brutopia, Hurley's Irish Pub....

ST-LAURENT St. (or ''the Main''): very trendy bars and clubs, very eclectic, french/english...anuthing goes on the Main...
Look for: Gogo Lounge, Bifteck, Central Station, Club Rouge (Very popular these days!), Laika, Tokyo Bar...you can walk on St-Laurent Between Sherbooke and Rachel St. and find bars and clubs everywhere...most of the place are very nice...

ST-DENIS St. and MONT-ROYAL St.- These streets are mostly frenchies...but that is because the bar crowd is more local, but don't worry going there...friendly people everywhere! The bars on these streets are more Lounges, relax atmosphere...very nice... You are comming in the summer...the ''terasses'' (outside driking areas...sometimes in the back, in the front or on the roof of the bar) are very popular at that time of the year...you can find most of the terasses on St-Denis Street...
Look for (on St-Denis): St-Sulpice (Biggesssst terasse in Montreal...really HUGE...you have to see), Le Dogue, Barouf...
Look for (on Mt-Royal): Bily Kün, Edgar Hyper Taverne, Boudoir, Verre Bouteille...

For a different experience, the ''737'' is on top of ''place Ville-Marie'' one of the tallest building downtown, you can spot that building because it has a rotating light on top of it, so you see it from anywhere. the adress is: 1, Place Ville-Marie, suite 4540 and it's right in the middle of downtown. There you can dance all night loooong...

Have a good time!

We do not celebrate MLK Day, but Montreal is just full of bars, clubs and shows every night. It is, after all, quite the North American joie de vivre city.
