I was recently told that there are new ten dollar bills with the year 2004 printed on them and they are supposed to be worth something. I was offered $20 bucks for every ten i had with the wrong date. I didn't sell any of them because I didn't know if this was true. Does anyone know?

I'm not sure about it, I just heard it's the new 2006 bills. I have been trying to do research but can't find anything. I am holding on to mine just in case.

the word i get is that the SERIES DATE is 2004 while the actual release date is 2006. if mint condition you might hold onto it awhile, can't hurt. but from where i stand i'd say sell any ten dollar bill for twenty that you can before the buyer wakes up.

EDIT >> what makes you so sure they are new? is it the new coloring/style? the ones i mention are colored in the new style.

Quick, take the money and run. I'll send you all of my $10's and you can sell them, too. Seriously, I just checked my $10's and they were all dated 2004. Something that common is not a error.

If this is so I certainly wouldn't go for the $20 bucks offer. Check eBay for prices.

How do you know they are new and were not printed in 2004. Sounds like a gag.

If there are then they ought to be worth more than that.
