I need to come up with an onomatopoeia for how an apple sounds when I shake it, which would be silent, or quiet, but how can I make up an onomatopoeia for that?

I would use "whoosh" as that is the sound as the apple cuts through the air.

well...if it doesnt make sound there isnt onomatopoeia. but okay...id say 'whoooosh' like the wind that is puched when you shake the apple/.

maybe the noise it makes as it is going back and forth through the air (like "woosh" or something)...it depends on *how* you shake it.
