i recently changed the password to log onto my desktop but for somereason when i try to enter the new password it doesnt want to except it---i tried entering the old password but that one didnt work either ---can someone please help me figurer out a way to get around it----its equiped with windows xp and its an HP tower---thanx for your help in advance

If there is an administrator account you can still log into the computer with you can just reset the password on the account that you can't get into. If you can't get into the computer, you might try a search for "windows xp password floppy disk". Look for a bootable floppy that will allow you to change the Administrator password.

Are you refering to a BIOS password or a Windows password?
Check your capslock and numlock. Its possible you had them off or on when you created the password.
