I think it is natural for women to be more bisexual than completely gay, if that helps any.

The Kinsey studies from Indiana University reported 10% of males being more or less exclusively homosexual and 2% to 6% of females being more or less exclusively homosexual.
A 1990 study (Homosexuality/Heterosexuality by McWhirter, Sanders, and Reinisch) stated 13.95% of males and 4.25% of females had "extensive" or "more than incidental" homosexual experience.
A 1993 study (The Janus Report on Sexual Behavior) found 9% of men and 5% of women were involved in frequent or ongoing homosexual experiences.
There are no studies that I am aware of that question the reasons between the differences in gender attraction, only those that show that there is a notable difference between the male and female genders in regards to same sex attraction.

Actually... it's because women rock so much that guys, in their quest to be just like us, like other guys too. That also explains why I'm a lesbian... heh. Simply put. Girl Power.
Girls wouldn't have to change anything, but a gay guy might be inclined to act more girlish, making him stand out more than a lesbian might. I know equal amounts of Lesbians and Gays.. maybe you just aren't looking in the right places.

I think it's easier to spot a gay guy than a lesbian. In our society, gay guys are a turn off to some but somehow lesbians are a turn on to most. Why is that? I never heard a female be referred to as "homophobic" and yet you hear that all the time about guys. Overall, I think being a lesbian is more cool than being a gay guy.

I have not seen any type of survey that would suggest there are more gay men than women, so I dont really think there is much of a gap. I believe that women who are gay , are more comfortable with their sexual preference than men , initially, yet i think the numbers are about even.

From personal experience, I know a ton of lesbians and not very many gay guys. And you definitely hear about a lot more women "experiementing" cuz it's more socially acceptable for them to do it instead of men. I would have to disagree with you then.

I wouldn't say that there are more gay men than women. I think gay women are more discreet and unless a woman is "butched out" most men would never envision a woman as being gay.

Don't be so sure! There are lots of lesbian/bi women who stereotypically do not look gay!
