I have a ten gallon aquarium and I was thinking that I would try to set up a salt water aquarium this time. I wondered if someone could guide me through what I need to do. I sort of wanted to start out small before I go and invest in a big aquarium. Is a ten gallon tank even feasible for a salt water aquarium? Any suggestions are appreciated.

no you need atleast 70 gallons. The slightest change in water quality will wipe out your entire tank and you cannot keep contorl of it in such a small space. Go bigger or dont even try. you will be frustrated and out a few bucks

A 10 gallon tank is very small for saltwater but can be used if great care is taken.

The problem with the small tank is that there isn't much water volume so things can change rapidly.

For a fish only tank all you really need is to get a hydrometer (measures the salinity of water) and a bag of premixed salt.

Keep in mind that you'll only be able to get 1 or 2 small fish at most. Perhaps a couple of damsels, or a clown.
