And you mean it in a totally pure way. She's 22months old. Your mom hates it when you do it because you're the only one in the family who's affectionate and "my love" to her sounds corny and wrong.

No, strange we all use that in our family. I will call my mother and see will say my love...Nothing wrong with it...or all of us and you are weird LOL ....

The mom is WRONG! Ignore her! "my love" is one of a thousand terms of affection that harm no one, only HELP. It's good to hear that you are affectionate and not afraid to show it. Keep doing it. It is good for you and good for your neice. And that's one important way children learn affection, by experiencing it.

No, your mom is wrong! I think it's sweet that you are affectionate to her. It will teach her to be warm hearted as she grows up. Good for you that you are different from your family.

Nope. Mom may be jealous that you can be affectionate and she can't. There's no such thing as corny when it comes to babies.

if that's the case, call your mom in an affectionate way also... she just need some attention maybe... why not call her "mama love"?,,, try it!!!
