any place where i can get the specific driver for playing dvds, i have every other driver, but when i stick a dvd in, it says something about not being able to play it, again, all i need is the driver to the dvd player, but if i HAVE to download a huge pack im down with it

(also ive tried many other DVDs, and have made sure that they work on other computers/dvd players

go 2 i think either www.windvd.com or www.intervideo.com. download the windvd software. installing that program will also install the codec's / decoding software that is needed to play dvds. even if u were to uninstall the windvd program for some reason, your dvds will still play after cuz the codec's / decoding software got installed.

Go to the Dell website (see below). You should find your DVD player under Removable Media Storage Drives.
