i have the black and white star vans and there is a grayish stain on the top part of the shoe with the stars near the toe area, it`s shaped like a U and covers most of the top part except for the tongue. i tried the usual shoe cleaner but it didn`t work, i tried a toothbrush and soap/water but it made it worse, and i put it in the laundry but it still won`t come off. how can i get it back to the white color(just bought them a week ago)?

I have a pair of black and white chucks i refuse to give up! So i'll clean them every once in a while back to new :]

What I do is ill take a sponge or something, wet it and then dip it in oxy clean powder, or baking soda, then ill scrub the dirty areas untill it comes off clean.
If it doesnt clean then, I make a solution of diluted bleach and will apply it with a Q-tip to areas I want very white, however I don't reccomend this because it could be risky and you could permanently bleach the black part.

And do you know what the greyish stain is? Is it just dirt or did it come from paint or something, because if it came from paint, you could use hair spray, spray on and then scrub off, spray on and repeat untill it comes off.

If its on the black part, you could try to sharpie it back to black, or try a little spot to see if it will match.

Good luck!

Try dilluting a small amount of bleach in some water & then carefully using a toothbrush to work the bleach into the stain. Don't get the bleach on the black part of your shoe since it will turn it white. BE CAREFUL.
