my friend is going to marry a Filipino girl, is this good thing, or could he be running into trouble- has anybody got exspreance

So what if she's Filipino? What's wrong with that? The race doesn't matter when it comes to love and marriage. If you concerned for what's good for your friend, I suggest you get to know the girl first, before making any judgements only basing on her race. Who knows? Maybe the girl is a good thing... or a bad thing?
Also, asking this type of question in Y! Answers wouldn't really help you coz everyone have their OWN experience on Filipino girls, some bad, some good. I doubt that OTHER people's experience could help you tell if one girl is suitable for your firend or not.
Just remember that in the end, it's still your friend's choice to marry this Filipina.As long as they both care and love each other, that's what's important, ignore whatever race.

It can't be generalized. They are good and great girls but there are many that only wants the visa to leave the country and when they arrived to USA, they leave their current husbands for a young one if the guy is old. (55+)
Your friend should know that when he marry a Filipina girl he also marry her family and her family EXPECT FULL SUPPORT financially, they Will start asking for money right and left and they can come up with the more spectacular reasons because most of this girls are very poor and they had not much education. Your friend will be like her dad teaching her even how to eat with a folk and a knife. If your friend is willing to accept his new bride like this, then he does really love her. I will suggest to tell your friend to have a prenuptial agreement, this is what a close friend of mine did so that way she wont leave him Penny less in case she is working a master plan after the wedding.
As I said. NOT all filipinas are like this but there are many stories about them, so to marry them is like playing lotto.
Now the well educated Filipinas are all studying in the best Universities in USA and Europe, they certainly don't need a visa and they only merry very upper class guys.

I am a Filipino and let me give you a clue of what can he get
There 2 kinds of typical Filipina girls.
1. Filipina girl 1 comes from a very poor family. Her father is a drunkard or full of vices or simply totally irresponsible. Her mother does nothing , has no permanent job or whose hobby is to make or take gossips everyday. She has other 3 brothers or 2 sisters who does not have a job who either made it in primary or secondary school and were jobless. Filipina girl 1 has no job too. Her family is pushing her to go abroad for work or find a wealthy he could marry. He found a foreigner who marry her. One by one starting from the mother they will stay in your house and live there forever, eating your finances. Parent's motto was their daughter should provide them all their needs and should help her brother and sister. If she has a niece or nephew , she have to help them go through to school. So the poor husband will end up working for her wife's family. If the girl find another wealthy man, she will leave him and will find another man.
2. Filipina girl 2 is the ideal woman. She came from a decent family. She is educated commonly with a college degree. Her family has some money to support themselves or does not have the parasite attitude. They want the best for their daughter and her family. They will support her and her husband. They will visit their daughter from time to time and they will their son in law as a real son. Her family will always be concerned to your family forever. You can always count on them in what way they can. She will love her husband and will be her life. She will be submissive to him and will always take care of him until he die.
Chances are you may get either of the 2 ladies i illustrated above or some one in between.

did you had any bad experience dating filipino girl? the person to ask is your friend. It doesnt matter to what race a person belongs to for another person to love them. As long as your friend loves her and she does the same thing to him and they are happy everything else is ok.they would not decide on getting married if they don't get along well. Just be there to support your friend in his marriage ok.

Filipino girls are sweet and flexible. They look forward to moving to a developed country. If your friend runs into problems he can part with her without mess.
