I watched the presidents speach tonight and I am wondering is there a conspiracy to bankrupt our nation? When did we vote to make Iraq a democracy. Aren't these things supposed to be, well, against the law? It all seems a little treasonous, to destabalize another nation, throw it into civil war, spend all of our money and use up all of our credit to do it and then have the audacity to try to call the resulting government which was forced on the people a democracy. When did the Iraqis ever ask for our help? How can they be dependant on us if we forced this on them? Thats like saying the prisoners are dependant on the guards for their incarceration.

Interestingly, US congressman, Dennis Kucinich, who ran for president in 2004 and is running again in 2008 said in 2004 at a speech I attended that they (those in charge I think he was referring to) are "trying to bankrupt the nation." And now we see how close to it we have come. I learned so much from him before 2004 about the vote fraud, possible upcoming draft, depleted uranium...sometimes I suspect he ran in order to let the American people know what was going on in the hopes we would not stand for it.

Can you imagine all the good that could have been done with the trillion plus spent on this war and he still wants about 200 billion more...outrageous...they posed no threat to the united states...but terrorists are being created by the minute with each child and woman they see die, each home destroyed, each daily suffering from lack of jobs, electricity, medical care etc.

Kucinich not only voted against the war, when we were still in a state of shock, he had the foresight to see through Bush's lies and he convinced over 100 other congressmen to vote against it. He is not the only presidential candidate to vote against the war, but he is the only one to vote against funding appropriations. He points out how can you truly be against it while still funding it. He says we have enough money to bring our troops home and send in peace keeping troops. He just annouced his 12 point exit plan at kucinich.us

America is a republic not a democracy. We elect people to represent us and they get to decide what our government will do. The 9 judges of the supreme Court elected Bush the first time around and then in the 2004 election the majority in the country returned him to office.

You're expecting logic and moral responsibilty from this guy after years of this? When has Bush ever honored a pesky law that got in the way of anything he's ever wanted?
