Chris Webber is not the fit that we need in LA. We just need to ensure the youngsters keep maturing and Kobe continues to be a mentor this year.

That would be a very STUPID move by the Lakers.
First of all, if they want a strong PF, they aren't gonna find it in Chris Webber. Vladimir Radmanovic would be a better PF than Chris Webber. The fact is that Chris Webber is old and beat up. He has no stamina, he's stacked with injuries and he's not nearly as consistent as he was 4+ years ago. So, that would be a naive move by the Lakers. If they do take him, all they're gonna get is an overpaid player who's gonna fill the injured list. With that being said, I don't think that Chris Webber would want to be there either. The years of rivalry would keep him seperated from the fans and Chris Webber wants to win a championship, something that he won't find in L.A. this year and probably not even the next.
Also, he won't play better in L.A. either. His injuries are limiting his minutes and he can't play like he played 4 years ago.
So to summarize:
-It'd be a bad move for the Lakers
-It'd be a bad move for Chris Webber

Well let's hope he plays better than he did in Philly. But I don't think he'll have a huge impact if he does join the lakers. Right now he could be some help since Kwame and Lamar are injured. Webber could probably fill one of those spots. So in the short term he could help the Lakers, but I don't think he'll really be that big dominant big man he was in Sacramento. I wouldn't mind him joining, but I just hope he doesn't ask for 20 million a year like he did in Philly. We'll just have to wait and see....

Yeah the Lakers need him despite what these idiots say because they don't have a true PF. Odom is a better SF even if he's tall. The best starting lineup for them would be
Brown-Bynum
Webber-Turiaf
Odom-Walton-Radmonovic
Bryant-Evans
Parker-Vulicec-Farmar
They don't really need Famar to run the point because Kobe and Odom should run the triangle like Jordan and Pippen. They need Sasha for 3's and Walton to have a solid 6th man. All they need Webber for is to control the boards and help spread the defense because teams have to respect his mid range jumper.

he can help ths team but listen the as a big laker fan the lakers have a full roster and they first have to waive somebody. 2 he can not be a starter becuse lamer odom is the starten PF and lamar did not like it when he played SF. so i dont think the lakers will go after him. hope this can hely you.

yeah!!!
i welcome webber with open arms to los angeles
he fits right in with the triangle offense; need i remind you guys he averaged 20 and 10 last year and the only reason his numbers are low this year is cause hes not getting time and we'll give him time down here for sure. and for all the people saying he's too expensive, he's going to get paid 1.5 million. that's a huge bargain for a 'old worn out' a.k.a. VETERAN player
kobe-lamar-webber
man, i love that
