So i'm set to deliver next month with the child im putting up for adoption. Is there anything that I can take or have the dr. give me to where i wont get engorged with milk?

No, honey, they don't do that anymore. They used to, but they found that drug causes seizures and strokes.

Like the others said, you want to use ice or cold cabbage leaves to deal with the pain. Depo Provera injections for birth control can sometimes suppress milk production, but not always. And although it will initially make you feel better, do not do anything to make the milk come out. Breast milk is on a supply and demand basis. If it comes out, more will come back to replace it.

They dont give you anything to dry them up anymore. And it really hurts! I would take hot showers and then wrap ace bandages around them for support. This was the only thing that helped me when I stopped nursing. Good Luck :)

Cabbage leaves also work well, I know, it sounds wierd. But a tight fitting bra with cabbage leaves stuck in there helped me greatly after stopping breastfeeding.

You can use ice packs too to deal with the pain. They use to give shots, but they don't anymore.
