(1.00 M) = (2.40 moles NaCl) / L
2.40 moles NaCl / 1 M = L
2.40 L
So, you can get 2.40 L of 1.00 M NaCl solution if you have 2.40 moles NaCl

A 1.00 M solution will have 1 mole of substance in 1 liter of solution.

so 2.40 moles will make 2.40 liters of a 1.00 M solution.
