for WOW factor (great picture transfer and sound) either the Star Wars or Lord of the Rings trilogies, these also have some of the best special features available on ANY dvd.

If you want a good story then just think of a movie you like and buy it on DVD, I do recommend not watching anything with any of the Baldwin brothers in it, they suck.
