i have just purchased a new dvd drive which is 16x but old drive was set at 2.4x. how to i change it to 16x . i am using windows default drivers and nero 6. can you tell me where to get new windows default driver

The write speed is controlled by the DVD writing software. You should have the option to change it in that program. If the program doesn't recognize that you have a faster DVD drive, check to make sure you have the right drivers installed.

the write speed for any cd/dvd burn can always b changed within the software that you are using to burn a cd and or dvd.
