I often hear about rappers spitting fire. I have never actually seen a rapper spit fire though....are they like dragons? or do they have like a propane tank in their tummies that has a hose running out of their mouth and they have an ignitor that allows them to do this? are their any videos of this so called "fire spitting" online....im so confused we dont really have to many rappers here in Maine so im just a little curious...i want to venture down to Harlem but Pappi says them blacks will shoot me...any help with my confusion would be appreciated

When rappers are talking about spitting fire, they are using a metaphor. They are saying that when they rap or sing they are rapping or singing so good. And their rapping or singing can spread like fire, and it gets known.

I think it just means they are awesome at rapping, like they do it fast and smooth! :)
