Making out is generally referred to 'necking' because that is where alot of the kissing and sucking occurs.

I always went by making out as just that. I never heard of necking at all, just making out and kissing.

Because when you really get into it, that's what it looks like...necks...and BTW it's not making out, it's kissing. Making out is a lot more.

True "necking" involves contact on the neck or above, such as kissing on the lips, face, or neck. If you go below the neck... it becomes "petting"

prolly cuz ppl tend 2 leave neck "Hickeys" & neck kissing is very common w/ make out sessions, this is sumthing I have pondered in the past as well.
