make sure that whichever you pick, they're damned good and loud, then drive up and down my street about 5 times a night at high speed...
nothing better than the dishes rattling in the cupboards and the pictures on the walls shaking 'cause some dickless twit needs to have a loud pick-em-up truck.
yee-haw.

you'll be satisfied with a single exhaust flowmaster. but if you want to be badass, go for the duals. since your truck is smog exempt, you won't be needing a cat or o2 sensor, sweet.
single exhaust- the pipes that form the Y at the manifolds (headers) should be 2 1/2" (or 2 1/4) in diameter and join into a 3" headpipe. the headpipe should go into the Flowy, and have have a 2 1/2" tailpipe.
duals- each head pipe from the manifolds should be 2 1/2". they'll connect to the mufflers and end with 2 1/4" tailpipes.
the reason for downsizing the the tailpipes is so that it gets the right pressure from the bigger headpipes that feed it the exhaust, and then it gets a funnelling action out the back. a Flowmaster is designed to suck the exhaust out of the engine, rather than having the engine do all the work and push it out itself. hope this helps.
remember one thing, louder does not necessarily mean better, nor does bigger.

It all depends on how well you want to get to know the local law enforcement officers. The glass packs are wonderful, the cracking when you let off of the gas is great, but my friends and I always had the problem of pulling in to town and getting stuck with a 5 day fix it warning. Flowmasters to be safe.

dude there is no comparision flowmasters are the best sounding exhaust mufflers unless you want a ticket with glasspacks. I have never had anyone say that my flowmaster exhaust sounded bad. but I have heard alot of people say glasspacks sound like ****.. they also dont provide enough backpressure for your trans to shift at high rpm correctly( if its an automatic) if you want a racy type sound flowmaster if you wanna be a hillbilly glass packs

before you decide on a flowmaster, check out dynomax.com they have more flow through and are more mellow sounding. i reccomend them to everyone that thinks about a flowmaster. ... flowmasters are fine if you want your bowtie to sound like a 1986 Mustang. lol
Hope this helps and let me know if you need anything else.

Flowmasters. They are a good product and have that "Power" sound not the "look I drive a noisy no muffler piece of junk sound".
