1. You need to have amazing stage presence. For example, Danny Devito being as short as he is, has amazing screen presence. That comes naturally for some people, others have to work on it.
2. You need to know how to act. It needs to come natural, almost like Dustin Hoffman in Tootsie. Like where people can't tell whether or not you're actually a man or a woman. you need to be that good.
3. Get yourself into an acting school..a good one.
4. You need to love acting, every bit of it.
5. You need to know how to memorize hundreds of lines.

Take acting classes or audtion in local productions.
