If you know any one of these three things, you can figure out the other two.

For example, if you know the radius, then
circumfrence = 2*pi*radius
diameter = 2*radius

If you know diameter, then
circumfrence = pi*diameter
radius = diameter/2

If you know circumfrence,
radius = circumfrence / (2*pi)
diameter = circumfrence/pi

What do you want to know???

circumference = pi (3.1416) times the diameter

if the diameter was 10 then the circumference would be

3.1416 times 10 = 31.416

radius is normally used for the area

Area = Pi times radius squared

Area = 3.1416 times ( say radius is 3)

3.1416 times 3 x 3 = 28.27 = area
